Brooklyn, NY – Bitter & Esters homebrew supply shop is proud to be participating in Ales for ALS, a collaboration between Loftus Ranches, Hopunion, and homebrewers around the country who get to try a new experimental hop and fund research for ALS at the same time. Loftus Ranches and Hopunion have offered up HBC 438 to homebrewers with the explicit request that they get feedback from homebrewers on how it works in their brews.
Bitter & Esters has commissioned eight homebrewers to brew eight different styles of beer with HBC 438:
Bitter & Esters will have a tasting of all of the beers brewed on October 29th, 2015 at 6:30pm at their shop in Prospect Heights. This will be a free event with a suggested donation of $10 with all proceeds going to Ales for ALS.
About Bitter & Esters
Douglas Amport and John La Polla, motivated by their knowledge and passion for brewing, founded Bitter & Esters in July of 2011. Fueled by their desire to inspire, educate and nurture the growing homebrew community in a friendly space, they conceived of Bitter & Esters as a brew on premises location and classroom space. With access to resources, supplies and expertise, it is a creative hub for sharing brew tips and techniques. Bitter & Esters fosters a deep commitment to the craft of brewing. Anyone can learn how, so stop by! See what you can brew.
There are only 50 tickets available for this event, and they’re just $10. Get your tickets to Ales for ALS Homebrew Tasting here.
