After a fun Canada Day blowout during our July BEER CLUB date earlier this month, we return to form on Wednesday, August 5th with Hops: From the Ground Up. We’ll be taking a look at the less-considered aspects of the world’s most delicious flower–breeding, growing, processing, brokering, contracting, and alternative uses. Of course, we’ll also be talking brewing and tasting.
Our panel of guest speakers for the night includes brewer and hop grower Chris Prout from Dirck the Norseman/Greenpoint Beer & Ale Co, with more TBA. As usual, we’ll be popping some fun bottles and pouring draught samples… you know, for science. Join us for a fun, casual, educational discussion that could take us anywhere within the world of hops, going as deep into the soil as you want. Get your palates and questions ready…
