In 2007, Chicago’s craft beer scene changed. This was the year Half Acre’s first beer, Half Acre Lager, debuted – a beer that would mark Half Acre Beer Company as a big, shining star on Chi-town’s map. This Thursday, May 12th, we welcome Half Acre wholeheartedly to our neck of the woods when we’ll be pouring eleven of their delicious brews!
Half Acre’s mission to “push for raw intensity through the selection of brewing materials and the promotion of natural process” has certainly been accomplished. Half Acre Beer Company now boasts not one, but two brewing facilities in the Windy City – the first a 13,000 square-foot foot facility on Lincoln Avenue that was one of the first production facilities Chicago had seen in a long time, and the second, their Balmoral brewery, just opened in 2015. And, since introducing their Balmoral brewery in 2015, Half Acre’s been able to implement a brewing program on Lincoln Avenue that focuses on experimentation and mixed fermentation.
So, join us in savoring Chicago’s flavor this Thursday, beginning at 3:00pm, as our glasses will be half-filled with Half Acre beer.
