Join us at Spuyten Duyvil as we welcome Stephane Bogaert from France’s Page 24 brewery.

Located in French Flanders close to the Belgian border, the brewery in the heart of the traditional bière de garde region as well as the heart of northern France’s hop growing region. Finding most bières de garde to be too sweet, they brew beers with a good dose of locally grown Brewers’ Gold and Strisselspalt hops to balance the maltiness of their farmhouse ales. They’ve branched out beyond the traditional French styles and have also been experimenting with barrel-aging. It’s a little-known fact that aside from great beer, France also produces some decent wine and Page 24 uses those wine barrels.

Spuyten Duyvil will be pouring 3 kegs starting at noon. Stephane will be there around 3pm.

• Rhub’IPA – collaboration with Nøgne Ø. An IPA brewed with rhubarb. Tart and pleasantly hoppy.
• Page 24 Brune – unique, roasty brown bière de garde with notes of liquorice, coffee, and chocolate
• Page 24 Barrel-Aged Brune – aged for a minimum of 6 months in oak barrels, which previously contained Burgundy wine. The barrels come from the outstanding Domaine Maldant in Chorey les Beaune in Burgundy. The commingling of the beer, wood, and wine endows this roasty beer with exceptional aromas.
