Blind Tiger Ale House

What essentially began on two wheels now seems to have jet propulsion (and a loyal following) behind it – Long Island City’s Transmitter Brewing. Transmitter’s founders, Rob Kolb and Anthony Accardi, first shared a beer in 2005 as avid, amateur bicycle racers. They soon realized a shared love of food and a passion for making it themselves. Many meals and beers later, Rob convinced Anthony to dust off his old homebrew equipment from the 1990’s and Transmitter Brewing’s training wheels came off.
Rob and Anthony’s mission for Transmitter Brewing is to bring a unique perspective on traditional beer styles to the local NYC beer scene through the informed use and interactions of yeast and hops. If you’ve ever taken a trip to the busy Transmitter tasting room in Long Island City we think you’d agree with us that Rob And Anthony’s mission has been deliciously accomplished.
Creating approachable, interesting and yeast driven beers with complimenting grains and hops, Transmitter has secured a formidable place in NYC’s beer scene – in addition to over twenty isolated strains of Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus, and Pediococcus, and a brewhouse library of traditional Belgian, French, English and American yeasts.
This Wednesday, August 19th beginning at 3:00pm we’ll be transmitting Transmitter Brewing’s exceptional brews from our taps to your glass. Whether you get here by plane, train, or automobile, trust us: you don’t want to miss this event!
