Aside from their award-winning beer, Tröegs is a name that gets people talking. Tröegs is a family nickname, from the brewery founders’ surname Trogner. Combined with a Flemish word, kroeg, meaning “pub,” we get a two-part name in brewing excellence: Tröegs.
Tröegs Brewery was founded in 1996 by brothers John and Chris Trogner. The first keg was sold to a local restaurant in Harrisburg on July 18, 1997. Tröegs Brewery was situated in Harrisburg, PA until October 2011, when operations were moved to Hershey, PA. Now three times larger than the original facility (with a world-renowned tap house) Tröegs is able to brew more of what we love, which is good for everyone.
This Wednesday, September 2nd beginning at 3:00pm we’ll be proudly saying ‘Tröegs’ all day as we order (and drink) many of the delicious brews they’ve sent us, including THREE selections of Hop Knife with different hop varietas (listed below). See you then!
