San Diego’s Alpine Beer Co. is set to hit shelves and tap lines in New York City soon. This is HUGE news for NYC hop heads. Alpine’s craft beer has been famously difficult to obtain, with limited production and distribution barely exceeding its Southern California location.
All that’s about to change. Since being acquired by Green Flash Brewing Company late last year, Alpine Beer’s production has increased significantly, and there has been talk of expanding distribution and penetrating markets where Green Flash has already established a presence. There has only been speculation as to what markets would be the first to receive the rollout, but lucky for us East Coasters, it looks like NYC will be among the first. This is not a huge surprise since Green Flash co-owner Mike Hinkley hails from New York, and Green Flash hosts parties in the city regularly.
Our first known opportunity to have a taste of Alpine Beer is at the Green Flash & Alpine San Diego Beach Party at the Fourth Avenue Pub on February 21 (full event details here). The Alpine tap list is looking solid:
You can bet that we’ll be at the Fourth Avenue Pub on the 21st. See you there!
