Say It Ain’t So: Bierkraft Closed Unexpectedly After 13 Years in Park Slope

Posted on June 15, 2015 by NYCBG

Hey Bierkraft, what’s up? There are some terrible rumors going around that you might be closed for good.

No official word has been issued, but it’s not looking good for the Park Slope craft beer pioneer: Bierkraft’s doors have been shut and locked since Sunday, and their website and Twitter account have gone dark.

The only information we’ve heard from Bierkraft has been a comment they left on their own Instagram post: “Renovations are coming! Stay tuned in and turnt up.”

We hope they really are just closed for renovations, but right now it’s hard to stay optimistic. We’ll keep our ears open and let you know if we hear anything definitive.

Update 6/19: Bierkraft is officially closed. No word has been issued from the owners.

It looks like Park Slope craft beer pioneer Bierkraft has closed.
