New Belgium Launches NY in May with More than a Dozen Wholesalers

With the completion of their new Asheville, NC location in sight, New Belgium has announced that they will begin distributing in New York this spring. NY will be their 44th state of distribution.

The new brewing facility in Asheville will allow them an additional 500,000 barrels of brewing capacity. With the extra beer available, the brewer aims to “focus on building deep connections in the Tri-state Area throughout 2016,” per a company release.

New Belgium will officially hit New York on May 16, with more than a dozen wholesalers, including:

3. DeCrescente Distributing Company (MC)
4. Eagle Beverage (A-B)
5. Sanzo Beverage Co. (A-B)
6. Arthur R. Gren Co., Inc. (A-B)
7. John G. Ryan, Inc. (Miller)
8. Manhattan Beer Distributors LLC (MC)
9. McCadam Distributing (MC)
10. Tri Valley Beverage (A-B)
11. Lake Beverage Corporation (A-B)
12. Rocco J. Testani, Inc. (A-B)
13. T. J. Sheehan Distributing, Inc. (Independent)
14. Craft Beer Guild Distributing of New York, LLC (Independent)

The initial draft lineup will include:

• Fat Tire
• Ranger IPA
• Citradelic IPA
• Heavy Melon Watermelon Lime Ale (seasonal)
• Rampant Imperial IPA

The beers listed above plus Glutiny will be available in 12-ounce bottles as well. We can also expect to see cans of Fat Tire and Citradelic on shelves in May. Slow Ride Session IPA, 1554 Black Lager and Lips of Faith beers should show up a few months later in August.
