Halloween landing on a weekend night is a blessing and curse. On one hand, we can go out and enjoy libations with greater abandon than on a weekday night. On the other hand… well, read the last sentence, and multiply it by everybody in this city. Things can get real weird, real fast. But that’s part of the fun, right?
To ensure that your weekend is as hoppy as it is spooky, we hand-picked five of the best craft beer-centric Halloween events to share with you. How are you planning to celebrate this year? Let us know in the comments below!
Friday, October 30, 2:00 pm – 11:00 pm @ Proletariat. Full event details »
If the name of the event doesn’t make it clear, the good folks at Proletariat go on: “Pumpkin treats are fucking annoying.”
Proletariat has put together an impressive tap list of pumpkin beers that focus less on the spice, and more on the beer. The featured draft list includes offerings from Almanac, Avery, Central Waters, Finback, Jolly Pumpkin, and Brasserie à Vapeur Potironne.
Bonus: they win for best event artwork. Seriously.
Saturday, October 31, 11:00 am – late @ Alewife. Full event details »
Head to Alewife for family fun during the day, with kid specials until 6pm and a family costume contest. Once the sun goes down, there are specials for the adults, including discounts for patrons who are dressed up, special cocktails, and prizes for costumes.
Saturday, October 31, 12:00 pm – late @ Barcade New York. Full event details »
