Fifth Hammer Brewing Co. has announced that it will open its brewery and tasting room in Long Island City this fall.
The brewery will be located at 10-28 46th Ave., and will join a thriving community of craft breweries in the neighborhood (Rockaway Brewing Company, Transmitter Brewing, LIC Beer Project, Big Alice Brewing Company, and a still in-the-works Alewife brewery).
NYC beer scene staple Chris Cuzme is at the helm of Fifth Hammer along with David Scharfstein. The brewery will experiment with many different styles of beer, from hoppy IPAs, to funky farmhouse ales, to sour beers.
The opening of Fifth Hammer Brewing Co. will be a great contribution to the Long Island City craft beer community, and should make for an excellent addition to the LIC brewery crawl.
