Two new beers were announced by Coney Island Brewing Company this morning. The beers seem to be a move to further establish the new branding unveiled in the second half of 2013.

1609 Amber Ale:
1609 isn’t a year. It’s a landmark in time. When explorers first set foot on the massive dune along the Atlantic, they set in motion a chain of events that would one day give us The Playground of the World. And to that, we drink.
1609 is a bold, deep amber ale with a full malt, slightly nutty character and strong citrus hop nose that celebrates the discovery of Coney Island.
Malt: 2 Row, Carapils, Melanoidin, Caramel Munich
Hops: Cascade, Amarillo, Tettnang, Northern Brewer
ABV: 4.8%
IBUs: 35
